Decongestant with narcotic antitussive - oral

Nucofed Usage: this tablet has decongestant which relieves nasal stuffiness & narcotic antitussive used to suppress a cough. this combination med is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Nucofed: Take it tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more much times than directed. this drug is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.
Nucofed side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to med. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, tremors, nervousness, mental confusion, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this tablet causes you to feel drowsy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
Nucofed Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional you're medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, depression, history of drug dependency, allergies (especially pill allergies). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with youre healthcare professional. for small amounts of it medication found in breast milk, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Nucofed drug interactions: Tell youre physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: med for blood pressure, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, cimetidine. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Nucofed Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, numbness & tingling of hands & feet, irregular heartbeat, weakness, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or unconsciousness.
Nucofed special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Nucofed dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Nucofed Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in bathroom.
