Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL: Take it medication by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this drug as directed. do not increase the dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1st several days as your body adjusts to med. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this med can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, medication since hypertension. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
