Vicks 44 Usage: Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant used to relieve dry, hacking cough.

How to use Vicks 44: Take it med by mouth as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed.

Vicks 44 side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach ache may occur the 1st some days as your body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, nervousness, confusion. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.

Vicks 44 Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: lung problems (e.g., asthma, emphysema), allergies (especially drug allergies). this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your healthcare professional. since small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Vicks 44 drug interactions: Tell some your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Vicks 44 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Vicks 44 special notes: If cough worsens, last for longer than one week or is accompanied by high fever, notify your physician.

If you missed Vicks 44 dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take this if Its near time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Vicks 44 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
