    Stool softeners/stimulant combination laxatives - oral

    Laxative & Stool Softener Usage: this med is used for short-term treatment of constipation.

    How to use Laxative and Stool Softener: Take each dose with full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.

    Laxative & Stool Softener side effects: this pill can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. this pill may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. it isnt harmful. Notify your physician if you develop: rectal bleeding, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, persistent constipation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

    Laxative and Stool Softener Precautions: Tell youre physician if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, edema, allergies (especially to tartrazine). Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. this pill should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre physician. Consult your healthcare professional before using any medication while breast-feeding.

    Laxative & Stool Softener medication interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption of some medications, this is important to tell you're doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

    Laxative and Stool Softener Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.

    Laxative & Stool Softener special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, Its important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to six eight ounce glasses day), increase your intake of fiber & roughage & exercise regularly.

    If you missed Laxative & Stool Softener dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Laxative and Stool Softener Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & moisture. do not store at bathroom.
