Kolephrin Gg DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat a cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Kolephrin Gg DM: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and the chance about side effects will be increased.

Kolephrin Gg DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur first few days as your body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Kolephrin Gg DM Precautions: Tell you're doctor some your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this med must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts about it medication are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Kolephrin Gg DM med interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.

Kolephrin Gg DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

Kolephrin Gg DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Kolephrin Gg DM dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Kolephrin Gg DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
