Warning: Though unlikely to occur, because this product is made from person plasma, It's possible it may contain substances that could cause infections. Notify your pharmacist immediately if you develop early signs of an infection such as persistent sore throat or fever; or yellowing eyes or skin, or dark urine. several about these products may also cause kidney problems. Notify your doctor immediately if you notice a change in amount about urine you discharge.
Gamunex Usage: it medication is used to boost the body's natural defense system against infection in persons with a weakened immune system. It's also used to increase the blood count in persons with blood disorder known as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
How to use Gamunex: this medication is administered by injection into a vein by health care professional. Rapid infusion/high concentrations of it medication may result in serious blood clots. Follow manufacturer's labeling recommendation for infusion rate and concentration, especially in those with history of stroke, heart attack, blood vessel disease, or blood clots. They are at higher risk about this side effect. Because this med provides protection for limited period of time (1 to 3 months), additional doses may be necessary based on your situation. Discuss it with youre doctor.
Gamunex side effects: Redness, warmth, pain & tenderness may occur at the site about injection. Fever, chills, headache, weakness & nausea may also occur. If these effects persist or worsen, inform youre physician promptly. Seek immediate medical attention if any about following side effects occur: skin rash, swelling about the hands/feet/face, breathing trouble, severe headache, chest pain, leg pain/swelling, one-sided weakness, stomach/abdominal pain. Very unlikely but report immediately: vision problems, confusion, change at amount about urine, seizures. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Gamunex Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: blood disorders, kidney disease, diabetes, severe infections, heart problems, blood clots, any allergies. Caution is advised when used in elderly patients because this group may be more sensitive to drug's effect. this med should be use only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. it is unknown if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Gamunex drug interactions: Tell your physician of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: vaccines, drugs that affect kidneys (e.g., amphotericin, tobramycin), 'water pills' (e.g., furosemide). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Gamunex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Gamunex special notes: Laboratory tests (kidney function) will be done to monitor your progress.
If you missed Gamunex dose: it is important that each dose be used as scheduled. If you miss a dose, contact youre pharmacist who will help establish new dose schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Gamunex Storage: this med is stored under refrigeration as directed.
