Docusate Sodium W Laxative Usage: this medication is used for short-term treatment of constipation.
How to use Docusate Sodium W Laxative: Take each dose with full glass of water or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking this med. Laxatives must not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Docusate Sodium W Laxative side effects: it medication can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're healthcare professional. this medication can cause urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. it is not harmful. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: rectal bleeding, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, persistent constipation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
Docusate Sodium W Laxative Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, edema, allergies (especially to tartrazine). Prolonged, frequent or excessive use about laxatives may lead to dependency. this med should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare professional. Consult your doctor before using any med while breast-feeding.

If you missed Docusate Sodium W Laxative dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near time since the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Docusate Sodium W Laxative Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and moisture. don't store in bathroom.
