Guaifenesin D Methorphan Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. it combination drug is used to treat a cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Guaifenesin D Methorphan: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take it more much times than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. don't crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed and chance of side effects will be increased.
Guaifenesin D Methorphan side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st some days as youre body adjusts to drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this pill makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Guaifenesin D Methorphan Precautions: Tell your pharmacist some your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts about it medication found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Guaifenesin D Methorphan tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Guaifenesin D Methorphan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Guaifenesin D Methorphan special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it pill. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Guaifenesin D Methorphan dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guaifenesin D Methorphan Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
