Cough Formula DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination tablet is used to treat a cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Cough Formula DM: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often then directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets should be swallowed whole with a full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.

Cough Formula DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop any about these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if it medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

Cough Formula DM Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre doctor. for small amounts of this pill found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Cough Formula DM drug interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or physician approval.

Cough Formula DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.

Cough Formula DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Cough Formula DM dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Cough Formula DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
