Tussin DM Usage: it drug is used to relieve dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm and mucous at lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.

How to use Tussin DM: Take each dose of this med with a full glass of water. Water will also help break-up mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless you're pharmacist instructs you otherwise. do not take it drug for chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your pharmacist. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult your physician.

Tussin DM side effects: this medication can cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform youre physician. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

Tussin DM Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult you're pharmacist before using this drug: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this drug must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre physician. it isn't known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Tussin DM drug interactions: Tell your doctor about all medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: another cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure youre caregivers aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Tussin DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.

If you missed Tussin DM dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

Tussin DM Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this medication. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
