Travoprost - ophthalmic solution

Travatan Usage: this pill is used to treat glaucoma, or other conditions which also cause high pressure within eye. Controlling glaucoma can help prevent blindness.

How to use Travatan: Wash your hands before applying eye drops. To avoid contamination, don't touch dropper tip or let this touch you're eye or any other surface. Travoprost contains preservative that may stain contact lenses. If you are wearing contact lenses, remove them before using youre eye drops. lenses may be reinserted 15 minutes after your eye medications are used. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Hold the dropper directly over eye & instill the prescribed number about drops. look downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of the eye near nose and apply gentle pressure. this will prevent drug from draining away from the eye. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. do not rinse the dropper. Replace dropper cap after each use. If you are using another kind about eye drug (e.g., drops or ointments), wait in least five minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments, to allow the eye drops to enter the eye. Generally, you place one drop about travoprost in the affected eyes once daily, at evening, or as directed. Use about this medicine more often then once a day may decrease It's effectiveness. Continue using it for full clock prescribed. If any other eye conditions develop (e.g., infection, injury, surgery), consult your eye doctor regarding continued use about some your current bottle of travoprost. You may be advised to start using new bottle.

Travatan side effects: Eye redness, discomfort, or itching may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Tell your physician immediately if you have this unlikely but serious side effect: vision changes. Travoprost may slowly cause permanent darkening about eye (iris), eyelid, & eyelashes. Growth of eyelashes may also occur. Consult some your pharmacist for more details. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or pharmacist.

Travatan Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: kidney or liver disease, other eye disorders (macular edema, iritis, uveitis, lens extraction), any allergies. this med shouldnot be used during pregnancy; it may cause miscarriage. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Pregnant or possibly pregnant women must avoid contact with the contents about travoprost bottle. If skin contact with liquid occurs, thoroughly wash affected area immediately with soap & water. it isnt known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Travatan medication interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drug you may use. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

Travatan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If this medicine is accidentally taken by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Travatan special notes: do not share this drug with others.

If you missed Travatan dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near time of next dose, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

Travatan Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 and 77 degrees F (2 to 25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Discard the container within 6 weeks about removing it from sealed pouch.
