Belladonna alkaloids with barbiturates - oral

Belladonna Phenobarbital Usage: this medication slows activity of digestive system, thereby reducing cramping and gastric motility. Barbiturates are used for their calming, sedative effects. Used to treat stomach & intestinal disorders, motion sickness premenstrual tension, bed-wetting and urinary frequency.

How to use Belladonna Phenobarbital: Take 30 minutes to one hour before meals, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. May be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. don't take within one hour of an antacid or anti-diarrheal tablet as effectiveness of this medication will be reduced. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase the dose or take this more often than instructed. Sustained-release tablets must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or sustained activity will be destroyed & chance of side effects increased.

Belladonna Phenobarbital side effects: may cause drowsiness. Use caution when performing tasks that require alertness. other side effects include dry mouth, bloating, constipation, difficulty in urination, irregular pulse, confusion, tremors, restlessness, blurred vision, altered taste perception. Inform some your pharmacist if any of these effects continue or worsen. If it medication makes you constipated, increase your fiber intake by eating more fresh fruit & vegetables, salad, & whole grain breads. Exercise and drink plenty of water (unless youre pharmacist tells you not to). in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it pill, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Belladonna Phenobarbital Precautions: If you ever had an unusual reaction to belladonna or to any barbiturate or if you are allergic to tartrazine (a yellow dye), tell your physician before taking it medication. If you have any about next health problems, inform your physician before using this pill. this medication must not be used if you have: kidney disease, liver disease, glaucoma, heart problems, certain diseases of urinary tract. Alcoholic beverages may add to drowsiness caused by it drug. Avoid strenuous exercise especially in hot weather & avoid saunas while taking this med. this drug reduces sweating which can lead to overheating. it combination product is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this med. this drug is excreted at to breast milk. the barbiturate in this pill has caused problems at nursing infants. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Belladonna Phenobarbital pill interactions: much pills can decrease effects of this drug or increase Its side effects. Tell your doctor what prescription & nonprescription meds you taking, especially pills that cause drowsiness such as: cough-and-cold medicines, sleep medications, narcotic pain medications (e.g., codeine). it drug may interfere with effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with some your doctor. don't start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

Belladonna Phenobarbital Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, blurred vision, unusual size of pupils, cold or hot dry & flushed skin, dry mouth, fast heartbeat, fever, headache, fast or slow & shallow breathing, change at amount of urine, drowsiness, blue skin, or unconsciousness.

If you missed Belladonna Phenobarbital dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Belladonna Phenobarbital Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom. don't freeze liquid forms of this med.
