Tussin Cough Cold Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Tussin Cough Cold: Take this med as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take it more often than directed. Capsule dose forms should be swallowed whole.
Tussin Cough Cold side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, nervousness, restlessness, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you develop chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, tremors, extreme nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Tussin Cough Cold Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially pill allergies). money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're doctor promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts about this pill found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Tussin Cough Cold drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may use, including: blood pressure meds, meds used to reduce weight, heart med, medication that prevents drowsiness, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not use it product together with an MAO inhibitor, or for 2 weeks after stopping MAO inhibitor drug. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Tussin Cough Cold Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, hyperactivity, slow or shallow breathing, blurred vision, or unconsciousness.
Tussin Cough Cold special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Tussin Cough Cold dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near the time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Tussin Cough Cold Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
