P V Tussin Usage: this drug has a decongestant which relieves nasal stuffiness & narcotic antitussive used to suppress a cough. it combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use P V Tussin: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack.

P V Tussin side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur 1-st few days as your body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, tremors, nervousness, mental confusion, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your physician or pharmacist.

P V Tussin Precautions: Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, depression, history of drug dependency, allergies (especially pill allergies). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts about this medication found in breast milk, consult some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

P V Tussin drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: drug since blood pressure, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, cimetidine. Limit some your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this drug. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or doctor approval.

P V Tussin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, numbness and tingling of hands and feet, irregular heartbeat, weakness, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or unconsciousness.

P V Tussin special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it pill. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed P V Tussin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

P V Tussin Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
