Accuhist LA Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose and throat & itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have a drying effect on mucous secretions. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Accuhist LA: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this pill is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Long-acting pills & capsules should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or long action may be destroyed & chance of side effects increased.

Accuhist LA side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose & eyes may occur first several days as youre body adjusts to drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Accuhist LA Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts of it med are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Accuhist LA drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: medication for blood pressure, medication for depression such as MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Tell your pharmacist if you take drugs that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines or tricyclics), anti- seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants. Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this med. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Accuhist LA Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, fast breathing, fever, hot dry & flushed skin, seizures, or coma.

Accuhist LA special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Accuhist LA dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if this is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Accuhist LA Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
