    Guaifenesin W Codeine Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Codeine is used to quiet cough. this combination pill is used to control cough & congestion associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

    How to use Guaifenesin W Codeine: Take this medication with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this drug as directed. do not increase dose or take this more many of times or longer than prescribed. it is strong cough medication and must only be used for condition & by person for which it is prescribed. this must not be used for just any cough. it is helpful to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

    Guaifenesin W Codeine side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the 1'st some days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre physician. Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.

    Guaifenesin W Codeine Precautions: Tell youre doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because it drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since It's not known if it med is found in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Guaifenesin W Codeine drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping pills, seizure med, muscle relaxants, pills for depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or healthcare professional approval.

    Guaifenesin W Codeine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, and slow pulse.

    If you missed Guaifenesin W Codeine dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' doses.

    Guaifenesin W Codeine Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and heat. do not store in bathroom.
