Dipivefrin HCL Usage: this tablet is used to reduce pressure in eye. it is used in the treatment of glaucoma.
How to use Dipivefrin HCL: To apply eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination do not touch the dropper tip or let tip touch your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number about drops. watch downward and gently close some your eye for 1 to two minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. If more than one type about eye drop is to be used, wait at least three minutes before using any another eye medication. do not rinse the dropper. don't use eye drops that have changed color.
Dipivefrin HCL side effects: Headache, brow ache, or temporary burning or stinging may occur initially. These effects should disappear as some your body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. this medication can cause your eyes to be sensitive to bright light. Wear sunglasses. Inform youre doctor if you develop: vision changes, eye pain, sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or healthcare professional.
Dipivefrin HCL Precautions: These eye-drops can contain preservative that can cause serious allergic-type reactions in people sensitive to such preservatives. Be sure to read the ingredients of each bottle & ask your pharmacist if this applies to you. If you have had a bad reaction (itching, redness, swelling or inflammation about eyes) to these eye-drops, tell your doctor. Before using these drops, tell your doctor if you have: HBP, heart or blood vessel disease, irregular heartbeat, asthma. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre healthcare professional. It's not known if it medication is excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Dipivefrin HCL drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: every eye medications. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or doctor approval.
Dipivefrin HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Dipivefrin HCL special notes: do not use this drug while wearing soft contact lenses. the lenses may become discolored.
If you missed Dipivefrin HCL dose: If you miss dose, apply as soon as remembered; do not use if Its almost clock for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Dipivefrin HCL Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store at bathroom. do not freeze it pill. Discard solution if it turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
