    Guaifenesin with dextromethorphan - oral

    (gweye-fen-eh-sin with dex-trow-meth-or-fan)

    Robafen DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies & another respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Robafen DM: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more much of times than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and chance of side effects will be increased.

    Robafen DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st some days as youre body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify youre pharmacist if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this pill makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.

    Robafen DM Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're physician. since small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Robafen DM drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Robafen DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.

    Robafen DM special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this pill. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Robafen DM dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take this if It's near the clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Robafen DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
