Tusso Df Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Hydrocodone is narcotic pain reliever in a low-dose which suppresses a cough. this combination medication is used to treat cough & symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Tusso Df: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take it more often than directed. this medication is best taken with a full glass of water after a meal or snack.
Tusso Df side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre physician. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, mental confusion, hallucinations, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or physician.
Tusso Df Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, emotional problems, history of drug dependency, allergies (especially medication allergies). Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. it medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this drug found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Tusso Df drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of every over-the-counter and prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, cimetidine. Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Tusso Df Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold and clammy skin, dry mouth, and slow pulse.
Tusso Df special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Tusso Df dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Tusso Df Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
