Defen LA Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Defen LA: Take this drug by mouth. it must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it medication as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

Defen LA side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Defen LA Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Defen LA drug interactions: Tell some your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, tablet for depression, tablet for high blood pressure. Tell your physician if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last 2 weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.

Defen LA Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.

Defen LA special notes: do not share this product with others.

If you missed Defen LA dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Defen LA Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
