Alertness Usage: Caffeine is a stimulant that is used to help keep you awake & alert. It's also used for certain types of headaches.
How to use Alertness: Take this med by mouth as directed. do not increase dose, take it more often than prescribed or continue using this for prolonged periods.
Alertness side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, insomnia, restlessness, nervousness, tremor, headache, lightheadedness may occur. large amounts of caffeine may aggravate ulcers, cause frequent urination, flushing, muscle twitch or irritability. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: dizziness, depression, rapid breathing, chest pain, confusion, fatigue. Abrupt stopping of caffeine intake after several weeks of regular per day use may cause withdrawal symptoms such as headache, anxiety or muscle tension within 12 to 18 hours. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or pharmacist.
Alertness Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: heart disease, diabetes, anxiety disorders, depression, ulcers, allergies. this medication isnt recommended for use during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. since small amounts about it tablet appear in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Alertness drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: cimetidine, disulfiram, ciprofloxacin, enoxacin, birth control pills, diet meds, decongestants, if you smoke. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Alertness Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include stomach pain, anxiety, agitation, confusion, irregular or fast heartbeat, frequent urination, muscle twitching, ringing in ears, trouble sleeping, & seizures.
Alertness special notes: this medication isn't substitute since normal sleep patterns. this isn't to be taken on routine basis. Be aware of caffeine content at foods & beverages such as coffee, tea, soft drinks, cocoa & chocolate.
If you missed Alertness dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near time since the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Alertness Storage: Store away from heat, light and moisture. do not store in bathroom.
