Cortane Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching about skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Cortane: Clean and dry affected area before applying the medication. To apply, gently massage a very small amount of the medication into affected area and surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your physician. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on child being treated with this drug in diaper area. Avoid using this drug around the eyes unless directed to do so by some your healthcare professional.
Cortane side effects: it medication can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to the skin. it must disappear in a some days as you're body adjusts to medication. this drug may also cause skin thinning and discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Skin infections can become worse when using this med. Notify your physician if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.
Cortane Precautions: don't use this medication near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond 2 weeks consecutively isn't recommended. do not use if there is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, this is possible it medication will be absorbed in to youre bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children and for those who have used it for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. it precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this med. Consult your healthcare professional or physician for more details. this medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss the benefits & risks with youre physician. Small amounts about this medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Cortane med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all meds you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially about: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Cortane Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Cortane special notes: Inform all your pharmacists you use (or have used) this drug. do not share this drug with others.
If you missed Cortane dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cortane Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
Medical alert: your condition may cause complications in a medical emergency.
