G P Tex Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination tablet is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use G P Tex: Take this medication by mouth. tablets should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this drug as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more much times or longer than prescribed. Its recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
G P Tex side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to tablet. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this pill can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.
G P Tex Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risk & benefits with you're doctor. this isnot known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your physician before breast-feeding.
G P Tex drug interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, med for hypertension. Tell your doctor if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
G P Tex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
G P Tex special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed G P Tex dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
G P Tex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store at the bathroom.
