Guaifenesin P Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Guaifenesin P: Take this tablet by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. don't increase the dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.

Guaifenesin P side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1-st several days as your body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this med may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

Guaifenesin P Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with youre physician. it isnt known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Guaifenesin P med interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, tablet for depression, drug for high blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last 2 weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Guaifenesin P Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.

Guaifenesin P special notes: do not share it product with others.

If you missed Guaifenesin P dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Guaifenesin P Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
