Tussin Cold Cough Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Tussin Cold Cough: this medication is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take it more often than directed.

Tussin Cold Cough side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify some your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. Tussin Cold Cough Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements about eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or quick heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.

If you missed Tussin Cold Cough dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
