Guaifenesin with phenylephrine - oral

Sil Tex Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Sil Tex: Take this pill by mouth. tablets should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this drug as directed. do not increase the dose or take this more often or longer then prescribed. this is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Sil Tex side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to pill. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this drug may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or doctor.
Sil Tex Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk and benefits with your physician. It's not known if it medication appears in breast milk; consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Sil Tex drug interactions: Tell youre physician about any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for hypertension. Tell your doctor if you have, at last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Sil Tex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, numbness of fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Sil Tex special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Sil Tex dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Sil Tex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom.
