Guaifenesin Sr Usage: it medication is used to relieve dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm and mucous in the lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Guaifenesin Sr: Take each dose of this medication with full glass about water. Water will also help break-up mucous and clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless you're physician instructs you otherwise. do not take this medication for chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your pharmacist. If the cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult youre pharmacist.
Guaifenesin Sr side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform you're physician. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Guaifenesin Sr Precautions: If you have any about following health problems, consult you're physician before using this med: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. It's not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Guaifenesin Sr medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist about all the medicines you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure your caregivers are aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Guaifenesin Sr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.

If you missed Guaifenesin Sr dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Guaifenesin Sr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of it med. don't store syrup at refrigerator.
