Robafen Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant used to relieve dry, hacking cough.
How to use Robafen: Take this medication by mouth as prescribed. don't increase youre dose or take this more often than directed.
Robafen side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach ache may occur first few days as your body adjusts to the pill. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, nervousness, confusion. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Robafen Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: lung problems (e.g., asthma, emphysema), allergies (especially drug allergies). it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts of it drug are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Robafen tablet interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Robafen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Robafen special notes: If cough worsens, last for longer than one week or is accompanied by a high fever, notify youre healthcare professional.
If you missed Robafen dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near time since the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Robafen Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.
