Guaifenesin Nr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Codeine is used to quiet cough. it combination medication is used to control cough and congestion associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Guaifenesin Nr: Take this drug with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer then prescribed. this is strong cough medication and must only be used for the condition & by the human since which this is prescribed. it shouldn't be used for just any cough. this is helpful to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

Guaifenesin Nr side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the 1'st few days as some your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Guaifenesin Nr Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional some your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Guaifenesin Nr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, & slow pulse.

If you missed Guaifenesin Nr dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time since next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the doses.
