    Dextromethorphan w/decongestant - oral

    Cough Formula D Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Cough Formula D: Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more many of times than directed. Capsule dose forms should be swallowed whole.

    Cough Formula D side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, nervousness, restlessness, loss about appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur 1-st several days as your body adjusts to drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify youre pharmacist if you develop chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, tremors, extreme nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Cough Formula D Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: heart disease, hypertension, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially drug allergies). dollars this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult some your doctor promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of it med are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Cough Formula D medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may use, including: blood pressure drugs, drugs used to reduce weight, heart medication, medication that prevents drowsiness, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not use this product together with an MAO inhibitor, or since 2 weeks after stopping MAO inhibitor drug. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or physician approval.

    Cough Formula D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, hyperactivity, slow or shallow breathing, blurred vision, or unconsciousness.

    Cough Formula D special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Cough Formula D dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Cough Formula D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store at bathroom.
