Tussin Cf Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. it combination medication is used to treat cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Tussin Cf: it drug is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets and capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase youre dose or take this more often then directed.
Tussin Cf side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Tussin Cf pill interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription and nonprescription medications you use, especially: pill for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this med. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Tussin Cf Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or quick heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Tussin Cf special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Tussin Cf dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Tussin Cf Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
