Pulmovital Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Pulmovital: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & chance about side effects will be increased.
Pulmovital side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st some days as your body adjusts to tablet. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if it drug makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Pulmovital Precautions: Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. it drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts about it med are found in breast milk, consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Pulmovital drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Pulmovital Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.
Pulmovital special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Pulmovital dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Pulmovital Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store at bathroom.
