E Z Lax Usage: this medication helps fluids to mix with stool to keep them from becoming hard or dry. it is used to treat constipation.

How to use E Z Lax: Swallow capsules & tablets whole with a full glass of water or juice. the liquid and syrup forms must be given in six to 8 ounces of milk or juice to prevent throat irritation. Relief is usually obtained in 1 to 3 days after first dose.

E Z Lax side effects: this medication can cause stomach ache, cramping or irritated throat (liquid and syrup forms). If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: skin rash, rectal bleeding, lack of bowel movements. Frequent use of laxatives can cause dehydration & loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using this medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

E Z Lax Precautions: do not take aspirin (unless prescribed by youre doctor) or mineral oil while taking stool softeners. If you pregnant or breast-feeding, do not take over-the-counter stool softeners (or any other nonprescription medication) without obtaining your doctor's advice.

E Z Lax drug interactions: this drug is not recommended for use with mineral oil. Ask you're doctor or pharmacist for more details. Tell your physician about all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially aspirin.

E Z Lax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

E Z Lax special notes: Laxatives must only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink four to 6 glasses of water daily, include bulk or roughage in your diet, & exercise regularly.

If you missed E Z Lax dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

E Z Lax Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
