Ed Tuss HC Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Ed Tuss HC: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase youre dose or take this more often than directed. this drug is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack.
Ed Tuss HC side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur first several days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Ed Tuss HC Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history of med dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this drug causes you to feel drowsy. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of it tablet found in breast milk, consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Ed Tuss HC drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure medications, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping meds, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain drug (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it medication. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Ed Tuss HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
Ed Tuss HC special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Ed Tuss HC dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Ed Tuss HC Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store at bathroom.
