Accuhist DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Antitussives cough suppressants used to relieve a dry, hacking cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose and throat and itchy, watery eyes. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Accuhist DM: Take this tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this drug is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack.
Accuhist DM side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur 1-st few days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Accuhist DM Precautions: Tell some your pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, allergies (especially drug allergies). money it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of it drug found in breast milk, consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Accuhist DM medication interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you use, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), narcotic pain pill (e.g., codeine). Limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.
Accuhist DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, abnormal tongue or eye movement, slurred speech, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, loss about coordination, slow or shallow breathing, change in amount of urine, unconsciousness, hallucination, sleeplessness, itching, or seizures.
Accuhist DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Accuhist DM dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if this is near time since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Accuhist DM Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
