Pilocarpine with epinephrine - ophthalmic

P6e1 Usage: this medication is used to treat glaucoma & to reduce intraocular pressure (eye pressure).
How to use P6e1: Apply this drug to eye as directed. Try to take this at the same time each day to get into a routine of taking it. do not stop taking this medication with-out first consulting your pharmacist. Apply eye drops to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or let it touch your eye. Tilt youre head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number of drops. see downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger in the corner of eye near nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent drug from draining away from eye. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. don't rinse the dropper. Wash hands after use. If you using another kind of eye drop, wait at least five minutes before applying other meds.
P6e1 side effects: it medication may temporarily sting or burn youre eyes for a minute or 2 when applied. another side effects reported include brow ache, tearing & sensitivity to light. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, eye pain, swelling in or around the eyes, vision problems, breathing trouble, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, headache, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
P6e1 Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart conditions, asthma, ulcers, lung disease, thyroid disease, muscle problems, allergies (especially drug allergies). Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable since period after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. If you scheduled for any surgery, be sure your physician knows you are taking this drug. it may be necessary to stop using this since a short time. it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician.
P6e1 medication interactions: Tell some your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: every heart medications, blood pressure medication, other eye medications. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
P6e1 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms about overdose may include headache, irregular heartbeat, quick pulse, lack of feeling alert, increased saliva, increased sweating, nausea, vomiting, & diarrhea.
P6e1 special notes: your intraocular (eye) pressure will be monitored routinely to check effectiveness about this medication.
If you missed P6e1 dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered; do not use it if It's near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
P6e1 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. Discard this if solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
