Guaifenesin Dm Nr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination drug is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Guaifenesin Dm Nr: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.

Guaifenesin Dm Nr side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1st several days as you're body adjusts to medication. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your physician if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this med makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.

Guaifenesin Dm Nr Precautions: Tell youre doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of this medication are found at breast milk, consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.

Guaifenesin Dm Nr drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Guaifenesin Dm Nr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

Guaifenesin Dm Nr special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Guaifenesin Dm Nr dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near the time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Guaifenesin Dm Nr Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
