Dextromethorphan/decongestant/antihistamine - oral
Tuss Mine D M Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose and throat & itchy, watery eyes. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Tuss Mine D M: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take it more many times then directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased. liquid suspension form of this tablet must be shaken well before using.
Tuss Mine D M side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur the 1-st few days as some your body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop any about the following effects while using this medication: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Tuss Mine D M Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult youre pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts about it medication are found in breast milk, consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Tuss Mine D M drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: blood pressure med, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping meds, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), narcotic pain medications (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it medication. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.
Tuss Mine D M Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, loss about coordination, slow or shallow breathing, sweating, dizziness, headache, hyperactivity, bizarre behavior, seizures, slow or fast heartbeat, or unconsciousness.
Tuss Mine D M special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Tuss Mine D M dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Tuss Mine D M Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
