    Salicylic/sulfur - shampoo

    (sal-ih-sill-ick/sull-fur)

    common brand names: Sebex, Sebulex

    Meted Usage: this drug is used to treat dandruff and various other scalp conditions (e.g., seborrhea, psoriasis).

    How to use Meted: Apply the shampoo to wet hair usually two times week, or as directed by youre physician. After applying shampoo, massage it vigorously into the scalp; rinse scalp thoroughly and repeat.

    Meted side effects: Redness & mild irritation of scalp may occur. If either of these effects persist or worsen, notify you're doctor. Tell your physician immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: severe redness of scalp, rash, swelling. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: nausea, vomiting, dizziness, loss about hearing, ringing in the ears, drowsiness, trouble breathing, diarrhea, mental/mood changes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or physician.

    Meted Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: cuts or other open wounds on scalp, allergies (especially other medicated shampoos). this drug isn't recommended for use if you have following medical conditions: diabetes, poor blood circulation. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with some your pharmacist. It's not known if the med passes into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    Meted tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription tablet you may use, especially of: another scalp products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

    Meted Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Meted special notes: do not share it medication with others.

    If you missed Meted dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time about the following dose, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule.

    Meted Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 & 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
