Lupron Depot Ped Usage: Leuprolide is used to suppress early puberty at children.
How to use Lupron Depot Ped: this med is injected in to muscle (I.M.) & must be used under close medical supervision. this long acting form about leuprolide is called a depot. it is slowly released into bloodstream and is given at various intervals. dosing frequency depends on which product was prescribed by your doctor. If you directed to inject this med yourself, make sure you know exactly how to use this and how often. Consult youre healthcare professional or physician if you uncertain or have any questions. do not stop using it drug without your doctor's permission.
Lupron Depot Ped side effects: this drug may cause nausea, vomiting, hot flashes, night sweats; bone, joint or muscle pain; swelling of hands, feet or ankles; headache; vaginal dryness, inflammation or discharge; reduced sexual desire, mental/mood changes, dizziness, drowsiness, weight gain, inflamed gums, trouble swallowing, persistent pain at injection site, acne or difficulty urinating. Notify your doctor promptly if these symptoms persist or worsen. Notify your pharmacist promptly if you develop any about the following symptoms: rapid heartbeat, chest pain, fever, unusual weakness, testicular or prostate pain (men), vaginal bleeding (women). in unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.
Lupron Depot Ped Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional youre medical history, especially about: urinary problems, alcohol or smoking dependence, bone diseases, cancer/lesions of the spine, abnormal vaginal bleeding, any allergies you may have. Limit alcohol intake, as it may intensify drug side effects. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness (e.g., driving), as this medication can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Leuprolide should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Discuss birth control methods with you're doctor. Its not known if leuprolide is excreted into breast milk. Because the effects of leuprolide on nursing infant are unknown, do not breast-feed. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Lupron Depot Ped drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of every over-the-counter & prescription medication you may use including: corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), phenytoin. Certain lab tests may be affected by this med. Inform every your healthcare providers you use this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Lupron Depot Ped Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Lupron Depot Ped special notes: Lab tests will be done periodically to monitor you're progress.
If you missed Lupron Depot Ped dose: it is very important you do not miss any doses. However, if you do miss dose, contact your healthcare professional promptly to establish new schedule.
Lupron Depot Ped Storage: Store vial & ampule of diluent at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). Brief storage between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted. After mixing, discard any unused solution. do not freeze.
