Tussin Usage: it med is used to relieve a dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm and mucous at lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Tussin: Take each dose of it drug with a full glass of water. Water will also help break-up mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty about fluids while taking it medication, unless your healthcare professional instructs you otherwise. do not take this drug for chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by you're healthcare professional. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult your pharmacist.
Tussin side effects: this medication can cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Tussin Precautions: If you have any about the next health problems, consult your doctor before using it medication: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. It's not known if this med is excreted in to breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Tussin medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all medicines you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure youre caregivers are aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Tussin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.

If you missed Tussin dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Tussin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of it drug. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
