    Eye lubricant - ophthalmic

    Tear Gard Usage: this medication is used to relieve dry, irritated eyes.

    How to use Tear Gard: Use this drug in eye as directed. To apply eye ointment/drops: Wash hands 1st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or top about the ointment tube or let it touch your eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. for drops, place dropper directly over the eye and administer the prescribed number of drops. watch downward and gently close you're eye for 1 to two minutes. Place one finger at corner of eye near nose and apply gentle pressure. this will prevent the medication from draining away from the eye. for ointment, hold tube directly over eye & gently squeeze a small ribbon of ointment into eye. Slowly roll you're eye in every directions to spread the ointment. Try not to blink & don't rub eye. do not rinse dropper. Wash hands after use. If you are using other eye medicines, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications.

    Tear Gard side effects: this medication may temporarily sting some your eyes when first applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome or condition for which it was prescribed does not improve within few days, inform youre doctor. Vision may be temporarily unstable since few minutes after applying this. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: a skin rash, itching, eye pain or redness in or around the eyes, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.

    Tear Gard Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, any allergies. Tell your physician if you pregnant before using this drug. Though, to date, no problems have been noted at nursing infants, consult your physician before you breast-feed.

    Tear Gard pill interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may use, especially of: other eye tablet. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

    Tear Gard Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Tear Gard special notes: some products contain preservatives which can cause irritation in persons with allergies or damage soft contact lenses. Discuss the various products with your health care professional.

    If you missed Tear Gard dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Tear Gard Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. Discard this if solution is not clear or colorless. Close cap tightly after each use.
