Panatuss Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Antitussives cough suppressants used to relieve dry, hacking cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat & itchy, watery eyes. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Panatuss: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take this more many times than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack.
Panatuss side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur the 1'st several days as your body adjusts to the pill. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Panatuss Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, allergies (especially drug allergies). USD it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this drug found in breast milk, consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Panatuss tablet interactions: Tell you're pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you use, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this pill. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Panatuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, abnormal tongue or eye movement, slurred speech, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, slow or shallow breathing, change at amount of urine, unconsciousness, hallucination, sleeplessness, itching, or seizures.
Panatuss special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Panatuss dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Panatuss Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
