Decongestant Nasal Spray Usage: this drug promotes nasal drainage & relieves nasal stuffiness. it is used to relieve symptoms associated with a cold, hay fever, allergies, sinus infections & other related conditions. it is also used to relieve plugged ears.
How to use Decongestant Nasal Spray: it medication is used in nose as directed. To apply nasal spray, 1st blow you're nose to help improve penetration of drug. Keeping your head upright, place nasal spray just inside nostril being careful not to touch the container to inside about nose. Squeeze container as you inhale deeply through you're nose. Sniff hard a several times to be sure the drug reaches deep into the nose. do not use this more often then directed or increase your dose. Therapy usually lasts for 3 to 5 days. Excessive use of it medication can actually increase nasal congestion.
Decongestant Nasal Spray side effects: Stinging, burning, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, drying about nostrils, & altered taste may occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: rapid or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, trouble sleeping, shaking about hands, tremors, unusual weakness. it medication can cause dizziness. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Decongestant Nasal Spray Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart problems, thyroid disease, diabetes, HBP, seizure disorder, glaucoma, allergies (especially to sulfites). the elderly & children may be more susceptible to the effects of this med. Use this with caution. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
