Guaifenesin with phenylephrine - oral

Aldex Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Aldex: Take it tablet by mouth. pills should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase dose or take it more many times or longer than prescribed. this is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Aldex side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1'st few days as youre body adjusts to pill. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Aldex Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this pill must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk & benefits with your pharmacist. this isnt known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Aldex drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug since depression, medication since hypertension. Tell youre doctor if you have, in last 2 weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Aldex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Aldex special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Aldex dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Aldex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
