Silace Usage: it medication helps fluids to mix with the stool to keep them from becoming hard or dry. it is used to treat constipation.
How to use Silace: Swallow capsules and tablets whole with full glass of water or juice. liquid and syrup forms must be given in 6 to 8 ounces of milk or juice to prevent throat irritation. Relief is usually obtained in 1 to 3 days after first dose.
Silace side effects: this medication can cause stomach ache, cramping or irritated throat (liquid & syrup forms). If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're physician. Notify you're healthcare professional if you experience: skin rash, rectal bleeding, lack about bowel movements. Frequent use about laxatives may cause dehydration & loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using it drug. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Silace Precautions: don't take aspirin (unless prescribed by your doctor) or mineral oil while taking stool softeners. If you pregnant or breast-feeding, do not take over-the-counter stool softeners (or any other nonprescription medication) without obtaining you're doctor's advice.
Silace tablet interactions: this medication isnt recommended for use with mineral oil. Ask your pharmacist or pharmacist for more details. Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription drug you may use, especially aspirin.
Silace Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Silace special notes: Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink 4 to 6 glasses of water per day, include bulk or roughage in your diet, & exercise regularly.
If you missed Silace dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time since the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Silace Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
