Stool Softener W Laxative Usage: this medication is used for the short-term treatment of constipation.
How to use Stool Softener W Laxative: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking it drug. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Stool Softener W Laxative side effects: this med can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. this medication may cause urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. don't be alarmed. It's not harmful. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: rectal bleeding, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, persistent constipation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or healthcare professional.
Stool Softener W Laxative Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, edema, allergies (especially to tartrazine). Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. this med must be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. Consult you're doctor before using any tablet while breast-feeding.
Stool Softener W Laxative drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption of some meds, it is important to tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Stool Softener W Laxative Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums and eyes.
Stool Softener W Laxative special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses a day), increase your intake of fiber & roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Stool Softener W Laxative dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Stool Softener W Laxative Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & moisture. do not store in bathroom.
