Decongestant Cough Formula D Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. it combination med is used to treat cough and relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Decongestant Cough Formula D: this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting pills and capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take it pill as prescribed. do not increase youre dose or take this more often than directed.
Decongestant Cough Formula D side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your physician. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Decongestant Cough Formula D Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, hypertension, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this tablet should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. it medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Decongestant Cough Formula D drug interactions: Tell your physician of every prescription & nonprescription pills you use, especially: drug for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this pill. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Decongestant Cough Formula D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Decongestant Cough Formula D special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this pill. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Decongestant Cough Formula D dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Decongestant Cough Formula D Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
