Bimatoprost - ophthalmic solution

Lumigan Usage: this medication is used to treat glaucoma, or other conditions which also cause high pressure within the eye. Bimatoprost is used after other medicines either caused very bothersome side effects, or did not fully work to lower the pressure within your eyes. Controlling glaucoma can help prevent blindness.
How to use Lumigan: Wash youre hands before applying eye drops. To avoid contamination, do not touch dropper tip or let it touch youre eye or any other surface. Bimatoprost contains preservative that may stain contact lenses. If you wearing contact lenses, remove them before using you're eye drops. lenses may be reinserted 15 minutes after your eye medications are used. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Hold dropper directly over eye & instill the prescribed number of drops. look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to two minutes. Place one finger at corner of the eye near nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent the drug from draining away from the eye. Try not to blink & do not rub the eye. do not rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after each use. If you are using other kind of eye drug (e.g., drops or ointments), wait at least five minutes before applying another medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments, to allow eye drops to enter the eye. Generally, you place one drop of bimatoprost in the affected eyes once daily, in evening, or as directed. Use of this medicine more much about times than one time day may decrease Its effectiveness. Continue using it for full time prescribed. If any other eye conditions develop (e.g., infection, injury, surgery), consult your eye physician regarding continued use of you're current bottle of bimatoprost. You may be advised to start using a new bottle.
Lumigan side effects: Eye dryness, stinging, or sensitivity to light may occur. If these eye effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor immediately. Tell your physician immediately if you have any of these serious side effects: eye or eyelid redness/itching/swelling/pain. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if you have this unlikely but serious side effect: vision changes. Bimatoprost may slowly cause permanent darkening of the eye (iris), eyelid, & eyelashes. Growth of the eyelashes may also occur. Consult your pharmacist for more details. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Lumigan Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: other eye disorders (macular edema, iritis, uveitis, lens extraction), any allergies. this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. It's not known whether this drug passes in to breast milk. Consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Lumigan drug interactions: Tell youre physician about every prescription & nonprescription drug you may use. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Lumigan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If this medicine is accidentally taken by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Lumigan special notes: do not share this drug with others. Medical and/or laboratory tests will be performed (e.g., IOP measurements) to monitor you're progress.
If you missed Lumigan dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If this is near the time of next dose, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Lumigan Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 77 degrees F (15 to 25 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
