Cough Formula D Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Cough Formula D: this medication is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting pills & capsules whole. don't crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take it drug as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed.

Cough Formula D side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Cough Formula D Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Cough Formula D med interactions: Tell some your physician of every prescription & nonprescription medications you use, especially: drug for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this drug. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Cough Formula D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.

Cough Formula D special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it med. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Cough Formula D dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.

Cough Formula D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
